It’s Magazine Monday, where we reveal what’s got us talking at Herd HQ! And right now we’re still buzzing after the incredible night that was the Wedding Ideas Awards 2012 on Friday. Streaming live over the internet from The Brewery in London (how scary is that?!) the Awards were the biggest and best yet with more laughs and tears than ever before. Thankfully I got through my speech without any hitches but I nearly lost it later on… read on to find out why!

Gigi our Giraffe company mascot was immortalised in ice thanks to Global Ice, a real wow factor that would look amazing at any wedding reception.

We can’t go any further without mentioning our amazing Special Recognition winner, Emma Waring. The Wedding Ideas team chose Emma because of her fabulous website www.militaryweddingsdiscounts.com, where a high percentage of the ad revenue is donated to Help For Heroes. With Emma’s husband, Noel, away in Afghanistan right now, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house when he appeared on the screen behind her with a good luck message, telling her how proud he was and how much he loved her! Pass the tissues!!
